Low-Cost, No-Cost, and Open Educational Resources (OER)

Open Educational Resources (OER) provide the flexibility to customize instructional resources and there’s excellent support at WT for adopting, adapting, and authoring open instructional materials to supplement or replace commercial textbooks.

When professors find and adopt quality Open Educational Resources for their courses, they have the potential to save students hundreds of dollars in textbook costs without sacrificing instructional quality.

With Open Educational Resources (OER) our team was able to create and customize instructional materials that target the fundamental academic skills all first year students need in order to succeed in college. OER are an excellent way to share expertise, best practice, and innovative pedagogy across departments and institutions at no cost to students.
