WT Repository promotes the principles of open access by providing opportunities for faculty self-archiving; ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of digital assets; providing access to unpublished research for faculty, staff, and students.

Another aspect is that the repository preserves and disseminates a wide variety of content beyond traditional scholarly articles, including datasets, electronics theses and dissertations, audio-visual content, presentations, and much more.
