What is Research?

What is research? Research is the systematic inquiry that relies on disciplined methods to answer questions or to solve problems. Political scientists are increasingly engaged in disciplined studies that helps us learn about our political systems and the political behavior of human beings.

Political science research uses scientific methods to address fundamental questions about political institutions, political beliefs, identities, attitudes, and behavior. Political scientists seek to analyze and predict critical issues that affect our everyday lives.
