Literature Review Assignment from Syllabus

Literature Review:

The relationship between research and social work practice is imperative to be a successful social worker. It is important that the student be able to demonstrate this understanding through literature review. The literature review will be in APA format, and will be 4-5 pages in length plus reference page. The literature review will include at least four scholarly articles. The total assignment is worth 300 points.
The literature review assignment will be broken down into the following:

  • Topic Selection (25 points)-The student will select a topic related to professionalism and turn it into Wtclass in the assigned drop box. This assignment is due September 15th.
  • Annotated Bibliography (50 points)-The student will create an Annotated Bibliography and submit it to the assigned drop box in Wtclass. This assignment is due October 8th.
  • Outline (50 points)-The student will write and submit an outline of the literature review into Wtclass in the assigned drop box. This assignment is due October 22nd.
  • Submission to Smartthinking (25 points)-The student will submit the paper to Smartthinking. Smartthinking is an online resource for students to submit their paper and get feedback from the writing lab with 24-48 hours. This allows the student to become familiar with the services provided, and get valuable feedback on their paper. This will also allow the student to make any necessary changes to the paper prior to final submission. There is a link on the course homepage to submit the paper to Smartthinking. This assignment is due October 29th.
  • Paper Submission (150 points)-The student will submit a final draft of the literature review to the appropriate drop box in Wtclass. This assignment is due November 19th.
