Using the principles you have learned about informative and persuasive speaking, you will design an applied communication project. Here are some suggested projects:
- Developing a storytelling video that showcases a children’s book for use in area elementary schools or the Canyon Public Library
- Designing a public relations information campaign that focuses on public health issues associated with COVID 19 and putting together an informative powerpoint presentation
- Designing a public relations information campaign that focuses on having WTAMU students comply with public safety guidelines on campus through a video advertisement
- Developing a public service announcement for use by KWTS to encourage students to assist others in their own communities (recording an audio message)
- Designing a fundraising or item donation project for a local area non-profit to benefit others (example: Collecting books for StoryBridge) and putting together a powerpoint presentation that describes the project
