What's Brexit?

The citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the UK) voted on June 23, 2016 to end membership in the European Union. The UK formally left the European Union on January 31, 2020, after a membership lasting 47 years. Brexit (British Exit) is the name given to the entire process of the UK's exit from the European Union.
