Accessing the Library Online

We have created this guide to highlight the resources and services that are available to you while you complete your coursework online this semester and in the future.

TexShare for WT Faculty, Staff, and Students

What
A TexShare card allows you to checkout material from most public and academic libraries in Texas (Find a TexShare Library near you).
Who
It is particularly helpful for students nearer to other Texas academic or public libraries than to the Cornette Library or those who would like to access the Canyon Public Library but live in the dorms and with their permanent address not in Canyon/Randall County.
Why
Once you have a TexShare card, you can obtain checkout materials quickly from most Texas libraries.
How
  1. Request a TexShare Card from the Cornette Library or request one from a local public library
  2. If you request one from us, and you do not live nearby, we will mail you your TexShare Card.
  3. Use your card!

Interlibrary Loan

Found or need information (e.g. articles, books, etc.) that we don't have access to? You can get it via Interlibrary Loan Details (ILL).

WTAMU students, faculty, staff, and Friends of Cornette Library (Supporting level and above) can use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to borrow research materials from the collections of other libraries.

ILL Office hours are Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM. Contact the Interlibrary Loan department at (806) 651-2406.
