Describing a Study
While reading scholarly articles, look for:
- The purpose of the study (stated in the introduction)
- The research approach (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods)
- Participants in the study (who participated)
- Research design (e.g., survey research, experimental research, narrative research)
- Research methods (How was data collected, analyzed, and interpreted)
- Results (What were the findings of the study?)
