The Le Mirage was the annual yearbook for WT from 1911-1991, and until now, the only way to see the entire collection was in person at the Cornette Library or PPHM research center.
But Cornette Library’s Archivist, Patrick Diepen, was glad to change that. With help from Conner Barrera and Riley Hawk, student workers in the Special Collections and Archives department, the full collection of Le Mirage has been digitized and made freely available online.
You can download every issue of the Le Mirage, view every page in full color, and even search the text for keywords! This resource is excellent for history, english, sociology, art, genealogy, and more. Many older Le Mirage’s have hand-drawn cartoons and comics. Viewing the different years of WT Students gives an insight into who attended, what the students were into, and what activities and hot topics were happening around campus.
Take a look at the WT Repository and view the Le Mirage collection. The collection can be viewed through this link: WT Repository: Le Mirage.
Want to use these in your next lecture or assignment? We can make that happen! Contact the Special Collections and Archives department or email Patrick Diepen for more information or with questions.
