As artificial intelligence begins to influence the creation, adaptation, and discovery of open educational resources (OER), educators and librarians are asking: is AI a threat to the openness and integrity of OER—or a transformative tool that can expand access and innovation? This presentation examines current research on AI’s role in OER development and use, highlighting emerging benefits, ethical concerns, and practical implications for teaching and learning.

Participants will gain an evidence-based understanding of where the field stands and where it might be heading.
