Cornette Librarians' Take TLA Annual Conference 2025

Texas Library Association (TLA) Annual Conference is April 1-4, 2025. Three Cornette Librarians, Kelly Hoppe, Chelsea Kuehler, and Mark McKnight, will be presenting at the annual conference held in Dallas.

Kelly Hoppe and Chelsea Kuehler will be co-presenting. Their presentation titled Invite Them and They Will Come: Building School to College Connections will talk about what happens when we collaborate across library types to grow as professionals and help students on their educational journey.

Kelly Hoppe will also be co-presenting with Joshua Wallace from Tarleton State University. Their presentation titled Special Populations: Academic Library Instruction for All Learners will examine how to make instruction accessible for all learners and discuss specific considerations related to providing instruction for a diverse group of learners.

Mark McKnight will also present. McKnight’s presentation titled Someday Never Comes: Using Personal Authority to Combat Imposter Syndrome will examine what causes imposter syndrome and how it develops in capable individuals and explore ways to use personal authority to combat it.
