Biographies are non-fiction works about a person's life and an autobiography is a person's telling of their own life. These types of works can help us understand creative works, important people or moments in history.
Biographical and critical material about authors, from Classical Greek and Roman writers to the present. Primary focus is American and British authors. Includes more then 2000 essays. Material is a subset of Gale's Literature Resource Center.

Includes the full-text of the book-length premier reference series Twayne's U.S. Authors, Twayne's English Authors, and Twayne's World Authors. Covers about 600 significant world writers. For each author there will be a chronological biography, a complete list of works, comprehensive critical analysis, and a bibliography. Text is equivalent to about 200 printed pages. Material is a subset of Gales' Literature Resource Center.
