SOCW 4395: Current Issues in Social Work

This course focuses on skills and knowledge geared toward improving the student's academic writing.

APA 6 vs. APA 7

Recently, the American Psychological Association updated their publication manual to the 7th edition.  In order to give everyone time to become comfortable with the new guidelines in APA 7, Cornette Library will not officially transition over to APA 7 until the Fall of 2020.  With that being said, it is up to each individual instructor to determine which version will be used for their Spring 2020 classes.

This class will be using the 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.  There are copies available in the library for your use.

APA Style

APA Style is used primarily in the social and behavioral sciences, such as Psychology, Sociology, and similar disciplines.
