Having trouble downloading data or accessing other ICPSR resources? Try these things first (instructions below):
Typically, ICPSR will automatically recognize your institution and validate your account. If you're trying to download data and receive an unexpected alert that you're not from a member institution, even though you are, your account may need to be validated. ICPSR can update this manually.
To request a validation, send an email to email@example.com. Include your name, your institutional email address, and the name of our institution (West Texas A&M University).
Are you using WT's VPN (Virtual Private Network internet connection)? You can use your VPN to access your ICPSR account.
Instructions for accessing WT's Virtual Private Network can be found on IT's Working Remotely for Staff page and Teaching and Learning Remotely page. If you need additional help on getting connected to VPN or if you have problems connecting to your computer remotely, please contact the IT Success Center (ITSC) at 806-651-4357 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
