Discover: Articles, Books, and More

You can search for articles, books, streaming videos, journals, and more by using our Discover search available below. This search is also available on the Cornette Library homepage. The default search for this particular search box is searching just our online catalog. You can change the search to  "Articles, Books, and More" or "Course Reserves" by clicking on the down arrow just to the left of Books+ (Catalog).

Borrowing Physical Materials from Cornette Library (and other libraries)

WT students at the RELLIS Campus may borrow physical items from the Cornette Library by requesting books or articles through Interlibrary Loan. To set up your Interlibrary Loan account, you will be asked to agree to a copyright statement and then fill in a short registration form.

Requesting books from our library collection

If you find a book within our catalog that you would like to borrow, place an Interlibrary Loan request for that item. Please indicate your RELLIS/distance student status from the dropdown menu, and also in the Notes field. Items requested from the Cornette Library make take a few days to over a week to arrive, depending on how far you live from WT's campus in Canyon, Texas. This service is free.

Requesting articles from journals in our library collection

Many of our journals are available online and you will be able to download articles after logging in through WT's Single Sign-On. If the article you need is only available in the Cornette Library, place an Interlibrary Loan request for that article. Please indicate that you are a RELLIS/distance student. We will scan the article and then make it available for download in your Interlibrary Loan account.

Interlibrary Loan

If you need an item we do not own, you may request the item through an Interlibrary Loan request. You can search for books and journals that we do not own by using WorldCat. Please indicate that you are RELLIS/distance status from the dropdown menu and in the Notes field. Items requested through Interlibrary Loan may take a couple of days for articles and up to a couple of weeks for physical items. Items will be shipped from the lending library to us at the Cornette Library, and we will promptly ship the item to you.

This service is free unless copyright restrictions prevent us from completing a request (which hardly ever happens). If the lending library charges a fee, you will never be charged a fee for requesting an item unless we have your explicit approval.
