TAMUS VLC21 Highlights

Cornette Library hosted the Texas A&M University Virtual Library Conference on June 8th and 9th.

The conference was held as a way to strengthen bonds between the libraries of the TAMU system. It provided the opportunity for library staff across the system to share their experiences and expertise with everyone.

To that end, we are also excited to say one hundred eighty people registered from across the A&M System, including Qatar, to listen to a wide array of different presentations.

Cornette Library was well represented with six different speakers giving seven different presentations.

We would also like to take this time to thank WTAMU Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Terry for getting the conference started with his welcome remarks. We also wanted to thank Drs. Yarborough, Howe, and Chauhaun of the WT Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business for their wonderful opening presentation titled: Library Science and Dynamic Achievement.

We are really happy with the turnout of the conference, and we believe this did a great job of raising WT’s profile within the TAMU system.
