Jenny Lind Porter Scott Gift
by Mark McKnight on 2021-04-23T10:50:03-05:00 in Comm. & Media Comm., English, History | 0 CommentsOn April 22nd Cornette Library announced the Jenny Lind Porter Scott estate gift of 2.8 million dollars to the Texas Poets Corner. There are several programs that are being made possible by this gift. The first is we are creating three professorships, one in the History, English, and Communications department.
Cornette Library will be creating a scholarship fund for students from this as well.
Lastly, we will be using part of the gift to expand the Texas Poets Corner itself.
We are very excited about all of the possibilities this gift is going to open up.
