Getting Started

The Discover tab on the library homepage is an excellent starting point for many topics. The advantages to starting here include:

 - simultaneously searches the library catalog and most of our electronic databases

 - results list has easily applied filters for date, language, subject, publisher, and more

 - links to articles in other sources

 - guest access allows preliminary searching off-campus, so time on-campus can be used most effectively

Drawbacks:

 - does not search all sources

 - full text links through Link Source or SFX sometimes open multiple tabs

 - may not have all the limiters that are possible in individual databases.
